Stoke sub Hamdon Priory is a 14th century former priests house of the chantry chapel of St Nicholas, in Stoke-sub-Hamdon, Somerset, England. It is designated by English Heritage as a grade I listed building, and Scheduled Ancient Monument.[1][2]
The Ham stone building was originally the Provost's Lodging, part of the College Buildings of the Beauchamp Chantry. Before 1304 it may have been the rector's house.[1]
After 1518 it became a farm, known as Parsonage Farmhouse, which it remained until around 1960.[1]
The priory has been owned by the National Trust since 1946. [3]
Major restoration was carried out in 1967.[1]
